Health Care Services

Pastor Fred Tumwebaze has a vision to begin Health Care Services. The zeal to develop Health Facilities accessible to Omega School and Community is in his mind and it is now among the priorities. If his vision can light a snug, it will bring life-saving services to thousands of people in Busoga, Uganda.

A Ugandan’s health and life expectancy is among the lowest across the globe. In Uganda, one in every 200 births ends the mother’s life, around 1 million people are living with HIV and although malaria accounts for 14% of all deaths, less than 10% of children under five are sleeping under insecticide-treated nets.

Pastor Fred has this in mind:

  • To provide quality medical treatment and psycho-social support through a home based care  program
  • To provide counseling to both the HIV/AIDS infected and affected.
  • To address stigma and discrimination related to HIV/AIDS at the community level.
  • To address gender inequalities related to HIV/AIDS such as widow inheritance, vulnerability of women to HIV/AIDS, early teenage marriages of the girl child.
  • To promote HIV/AIDS prevention programs at community level
  • To sensitize the communities about the consequences of the relatives who grab widows and orphans property when the male parents die.

According to True Word Ministries, one of the biggest needs for the project to get started is building functioning community structures that can lead to a tangible improvement in health care and access to health services at a local level.

Local people are now starting to demand decent health services for Omega School and Community; they do this by faith, trusting in the Almighty God and His own timing. Our Challenge is the fund to build a Health Centre for better access to healthcare services for thousands of people living in this remote part of Busoga, Uganda. Extend your generosity to this agent need.
